Privacy policy
Last updated 5 November 2026
The short version: no sign-up and no ads. Your progress lives on your device, plus an anonymous cloud copy you can delete at any time from Settings. We only use Google Analytics cookies if you say yes, and you can change your mind any time.
Who runs this site
This copy of Road Masti at https://www.roadmasti.in is run by Amit Singh ("we"). For any privacy question or request, contact theunusualsingh@gmail.com.
What is stored on your device
The game itself uses your browser's local storage, not cookies. It keeps your progress (wallet, bikes, garage, achievements, challenges), your settings, a random install ID used for gameplay stats, and, once you have a cloud profile, its secret key and recovery code. None of this leaves your device except as described below. Clearing your browser's site data removes it. Local storage also remembers your answer to the analytics question.
What our server stores
| Data | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Anonymous cloud profile: a random profile ID, a copy of your progress, the nickname you choose (optional), when it was created and last used. Your device key and recovery code are stored only as one-way hashes. | So your progress is backed up and can move to another device with your recovery code. | Until you delete it. |
| Race records: route, mode, weather, start and finish time, finishing place and prize. | To check that prize money and ladder times are genuine (anti-cheat). | Unfinished races: 2 days. Finished races: until you delete your profile. |
| Weekly ladder entries: your nickname, bike and best time. | To show the weekly leaderboard. These are visible to other players. | Until you delete your profile. |
| Gameplay stats (optional): your random install ID, a session ID, and events such as "race started on the Ghat", "race quit at 40%", graphics quality, touch or keyboard, achievements unlocked. | To find bugs and see which parts of the game people enjoy or quit. | 120 days, then deleted automatically. |
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts or precise location, and we do not sell or share data for advertising.
Multiplayer
When you race with friends, your nickname, bike look and live position are passed through our server to the other riders in your room. This is not stored; it disappears when the room closes.
Technical data
Like every website, our server sees your IP address when your browser connects. The game server uses it only in memory, for about a minute, to stop people flooding it with requests; it does not write it to the database. The machine or hosting service the site runs on may keep standard access logs for security; ask us if you want details for this site.
Google Analytics (only with your consent)
The first time you open the game we ask whether we may use Google Analytics. Nothing from Google Analytics loads, and no analytics cookie is set, unless you choose Sure, allow. If you do, Google Analytics sets cookies (_ga, _ga_*) and sends Google information such as the pages you open, how you arrived (for example from a search or a shared link), your device and browser type, and your approximate location worked out from your IP address. We use it only to count visitors and understand where they come from; it is not used for advertising. Google processes this data under the Google privacy policy and may process it outside India. To change your mind, use Settings → Privacy → "Google Analytics cookies": switching it off stops Google Analytics and deletes its cookies on this site.
Other third parties
The game loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google's servers, which see your IP address. No other third-party services are used.
Your choices and rights
- Turn off gameplay stats, cloud saves or Google Analytics cookies any time in Settings → Privacy.
- Delete your data: Settings → Privacy → "Delete my cloud data" removes your cloud profile on every device, your race records and ladder times, and the stats sent from that device. It takes effect immediately.
- To see or correct what we hold, or if you can't use the button, email theunusualsingh@gmail.com with your recovery code (it identifies your profile without any personal details).
Depending on where you live, laws such as India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 or the EU/UK GDPR give you rights to access, correct and erase your data, and to complain to a data protection authority. We will answer requests within 30 days.
Children
Road Masti is a cartoon fighting game meant for players aged 13 and over. It does not ask for personal information. If you are a parent and think your child has sent us something personal (for example a real name as a nickname), contact us and we'll delete it.
Security
Profile keys and recovery codes are stored only as hashes, so even we can't read them. Use the site over HTTPS. Keep your recovery code private: anyone who has it can load your progress.
Changes
If we change what we collect, we'll update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect.
